Fixed: Choosing to save a song would ask to "save as", as if the song file did not already exist.
PG Music programmers are obviously Windows-centric. This is easily one of the ugliest, most ridiculously laid out program on the Macintosh. The installer still ignores Apple's guidelines YEARS after PG Music's knowing this.
Note: There is also a RealTracks update patch available here.
The Melody track as created with the Melodist is always a MIDI track, and although you can change it to a RealTrack or a MIDI SuperTrack, it will then no longer play the melody line composed by the Melodist. That is because RealTracks and MIDI SuperTracks are created based only on the chord progression and style, not based on notes in a track.
Screen 6: The SongPicker window provides access to songs filtered by information in any of its columns, and results can be sorted by any ‘rock’ as a filter, I found the ‘Queen May’ demo you can hear in the ‘BiaB03’ audio example. Note that this and the remaining audio examples in this article were directly exported from BIAB as a full mix — for my own work, I usually export separate WAV and/or MIDI files for each track to my DAW to finish mixing, as I did with ‘BiaB02’.
Fixed: The Sinsy vocal generator did not work with Japanese lyrics.

All that being said, the hardest thing of all is to write a MELODY over a sequence. I hear nothing but boring un-unique title 'themes' and tracks on TV all the time ( made up with pre-rendered loops and musical sequences ) they all sound good from a production sound quality perspective but utterly boring and predictable in a harmonic way but worst of all absent in melody and as such utterly unmemorable. The only thing that hasn't been ruined by technology is the magic of melody. Its a very hard thing to crack and without it music is nothing but rhythm.
Fixed: In the notation window regular advance in editable mode should advance to the 1st or 3rd peg of a beat that has 4 pegs on it.

Fixed: If running Band-in-a-Box in a language other than English, automatic updates should not report available English update patches.
